The Annual Tax Controversy Institute is a part of the UCLA Extension and represents one of the preeminent events in the country exclusively dedicated to tax litigation and tax controversy matters. This year’s institute will cover a number of tax compliance issues, including offshore tax compliance, tax fraud referrals, passport revocation in collection proceedings, tax enforcement related to cryptocurrencies, litigation before the new California Office of Tax Appeals, and new trends in civil and criminal tax enforcement.
