Holtz, Slavett & Drabkin, APLC is a tax controversy and tax litigation law firm consisting exclusively of former IRS tax attorneys. David J. Warner is the Managing Attorney of the Orange County Office and a Tax Attorney with over 10 years of experience practicing tax law. David practices in all aspects of tax controversy including tax audits, collection defense, and litigation in the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court, and the Court of Federal Claims. Before joining Holtz, Slavett & Drabkin, David was a Senior Trial Attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel for 9 years in Laguna Niguel. In this role, he litigated over 500 cases in the U.S. Tax Court and advised IRS auditors and collectors. David also has taught as an adjunct law professor at UC Irvine School of Law, Chapman University Fowler School of Law, and Loyola Law School. David has lived in Orange County for over 10 years, is a member of the Orange County Bar Association Tax Section, and is a volunteer with OC Animal Care.
